She holds the distinction of being the first Fetal Medicine Specialist in Pune city and continues to update her knowledge on fetal care.

Her area of expertise includes high-risk pregnancies, pregnancy care, down’s syndrome screening, obstetrics sonography (nuchal translucency (NT) scan, anomaly scan, and dopplers), sonography guided procedures (CVS, fetal transfusions, and amniocentesis), and diagnosis of prenatal genetic disorders (thalassemia and Duchenne muscular dystrophy).

She holds an MBBS from M.R Medical College, Gulbarga, Karnataka, and a diploma in Fetal Medicine from the University of College London, UK. Furthermore, she is also accredited by the Fetal Medicine Foundation, UK, and is qualified in prenatal genetics.

She worked abroad for over 12 years and after coming back to India, she was the first to establish a fetal medicine department in Jehangir Hospital, Pune. She then went on to start her private obstetrics practice for pregnancy care in Destination Centre, Magarpatta City in 2007 (Blooming Buds Clinic and Diagnostic Centre).
